Concerts and Musicals I’ve Seen (Yes, It’s a passion!)

Music has been a lifelong passion of mine.  I wanted to be a music major until my senior year in high school (read more about that on the Career page!) and I come from a family of musicians.

My dad was a singer all his life – from high school musicals to the US Army Men’s Touring Chorus in Europe in the late 1950’s to numerous church choirs and retirement community entertainment groups. My oldest son, Kevin, has his grandfather’s voice, sang in the Southcentral Kentucky Choral Society, and is a good saxophone player.  Eric is a very talented percussionist who has a Music minor from WKU.  Many say I also have my father’s voice and I loved to play the alto and baritone saxophone.

I played in band in high school as well as in the Post Band (sponsored by General Mills cereal division, which caused my dad, the Kellogg’s employee, some consternation) – but for me it’s mostly singing in the car at a loud volume.  Every once in awhile I will belt out a good Methodist hymn on Sunday!  😉

So here is the list, to the best of my less-than-stellar memory!
